Lucky Strike cigarettes are one of the world most established cigarette brands. They had the biggest market share in the early 20th century. Their best seller times were in the 30's. As their market share started to fall they have expanded their range of target customers. Initially they were marketed only for man but the times forced them to market for women as well. They pulled a nice catch while changing the colors of the brand. Because the old colors were unappealing for the women they needed to change it and the pretext was that they are saving the copper for the war effort and that's why they changed the colors. Also Lucky Strike was portrayed in the hit TV show called Mad Men which brought more popularity for the brand.
